Services / Support After Suicide

Sutherland Shire Support After Suicide Support Group (SASSG) is designed to help people who have experienced the loss of someone through suicide. The aim is to share, listen, give and receive mutual support.

It is often felt that only those who have gone through a similar experience can really understand the shock, anger and depth of loss felt by remaining family members and friends. Our mutual support will help you with:

  • Feelings of isolation
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Anger
  • Guilt
  • Low spirits
  • Shame
  • Relationships and change

How we can help you?

  • By providing an environment whereby emotional issues are voiced amidst non-judgemental people.

  • By speaking with experienced counsellors who will help you understand the various stages of grieving.

  • By exploring the diverse yet natural responses of people who have been bereaved by suicide.
