Rainbows Grief and loss support for Children

Rainbows is a weekly peer support program for children aged 5-16 years who have suffered a loss through death, divorce or separation. In the group children have an opportunity to share with someone on the outside, what is happening in the inside. Through the group, we hope to assist your child in expressing and understanding his/her feelings, to feel acceptance for what has happened, and to feel a sense of belonging and love.

Rainbows is not counselling or therapy and we do not claim to have all the answers to all problems, we do plan to help children sort through their sense of loss through the channels of peer support, nurturing adults to guide them, and a secure place to share themselves.

The next Rainbows program commences Term 2, 2012. Sessions run for 45 minutes per week over 2 school terms. The cost of the program is $50 . Fees are payable prior to commencement date. For more details or to enrol your child into the program contact our office on 95450299 or email admin@scw.org.au.

Rock and Water Program

What is the Rock and Water Program?
Rock and Water is an educational program for boys aged 9-12,
using physical exercises to demonstrate functional and positive
techniques for interaction with their peers and others.
In an active learning environment, these exercises are linked
with mental and social skills to help boys become more self-aware,
self-confident and self-controlled. Three parent education/support sessions will be run on weeks 2, 4 and 6 of the next program. These have been developed to help program participants and their families gain as much benefit from the course as possible.

Course cost is $120 including GST for a 7 week program, including parent sessions.

Our next Rock and Water program commences in 2012 and runs for 7 weeks on Monday nights from 5pm to 6.15pm.
