General Counselling

General counselling covers a large area of concerns and includes such issues as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, loss and grief, assertiveness and other. We have a variety of counsellors that utilise different techniques. It is important to “match” with the counsellor that is right for you. Couples counselling is a helpful and specific way to gain assistance with relationship issues to address ongoing conflict, increase communication, improve intimacy, and/or overall relationship enrichment. This is an appropriate service whether you have been together for a short period of time or many years.

Family Counselling for children and young people

Our counsellor takes a family perspective in relation to the many challenges facing children today.Parents are seen in relation to their expressed concerns about their child’s emotional, social and behavioural development.Children are also seen to assist with their skills development across a range of tasks of personal and interpersonal growth such as learning to regulate emotions, coping skills in the face of family stress, academic stress and peer pressure.Common reasons parents seek psychological assistance for their child/children include adjustment to family separation, anxiety, stress, disobedience and conduct problems.
